FAQS

Have Questions?

  • Are you currently accepting new clients?
Yes, SoundMind Wellness is accepting new clients at this time.
  • Do you offer in-person therapy sessions?
At SoundMind Wellness, we are currently offering virtual therapy sessions exclusively. We understand that our clients have varying needs and circumstances, and virtual therapy offers the flexibility and accessibility to accommodate them. We are committed to ensuring that every woman, no matter her location, has access to quality mental health services. Although we do not offer in-person sessions currently, we are continuously evaluating our service offerings. Stay connected for any updates on this aspect of our services.
  • Do you take insurance?
Our practice accepts Aetna insurance plans in Florida and we are not in-network with other insurance providers. The intake fee is $250 for 75 minutes and $185 for 45-minute sessions for out-of-network.
  • What kind of therapy does SoundMind Wellness offer?
SoundMind Wellness specializes in offering a range of therapy services catered to women. We provide individual therapy, group therapy, trauma-informed therapy, cultural competency counseling, stress and anxiety management, self-esteem building, and life transition support. Our practice is rooted in understanding the unique experiences and mental health needs of women, akin to how a gynecologist focuses on women's reproductive health.
  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Deciding if therapy is right for you is a personal decision. If you're experiencing stress, anxiety, life changes, low self-esteem, or any emotional discomfort, therapy can be a great resource. However, we understand that finding the right therapist is an important aspect of the process. We offer an initial consultation where you can discuss your concerns and goals to help you determine if we are a good fit. At SoundMind Wellness, we believe in supporting your journey, even if it leads to a therapist outside our practice. Our main goal is to see you start on a path toward healing and growth that aligns with your unique needs and goals.
  • How long does each therapy session last?
Typically, individual therapy sessions at SoundMind Wellness last between 45-50 minutes, while group therapy sessions are around 90 minutes long. However, we understand that everyone's needs are different and sometimes a longer session may be necessary. We can accommodate longer individual sessions as needed, with rates prorated in 15-minute increments. The frequency and number of sessions will be tailored to your specific needs and discussed during your initial consultation.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards for payment. For your convenience, we ask that a credit card be stored on file in our secure client portal to streamline the payment process. Payment is due at the time of each session.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 24-hour notice for cancellations. If a session is canceled within less than 24 hours in advance, a cancellation fee of $75 will be automatically charged. If a client does not show up for a scheduled session (no-show), the full rate of that session will be charged. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, but this policy allows us to manage our schedule and serve our clients effectively.
  • How do I book a consultation?
Click the button below to book a Phone Screening and we will call you at the number you provide. If we decide to move forward after the consultation, we will schedule your intake appointment and send all intake forms through our client portal.
